From an intense urge for beauty and a constant search for balance between nature and culture, Elisabeth De Sloovere has been drawing her ready-to-wear collection SABETH for more than 30 years.
Herman Van den Broecke has always remained a painter pur sang and was able to maintain his own strong gestural character. He defines his sculptures as floating 'between toys and obstacle'.
The awareness of connectedness and the surprisingly similar aspects of their lives and inspiration, albeit from a very different discipline, made them decide to make a book together.
The book therefore provides a unique insight into the work and world of two passionate people, 'wounded' in their biotope.
