Based on an intense urge for beauty and a constant search for balance between nature and culture, Elisabeth De Sloovere has been designing her ready-to-wear collection SABETH since 1986.
Herman Van den Broecke has always remained a painter par excellence and has managed to retain his own strong gestural character. He describes his sculptures as floating 'between toys and obstacles'.
The realization of their connection and the surprisingly similar aspects of their lives and inspiration, albeit from a completely different discipline, made them decide to make a book together.
The book provides a unique insight into the work and world of two passionate people, 'wounded' in their biotope.
